Food & Beauty Hacks
Updated: Jan 16
Have you ever thought, "what does food have to do with beauty?" Does what I eat effect my skin?" "Can food be used on my body?" If so, the answer is yes! I use food on my skin and in my diet to beautify myself, ALL THE TIME. I have found it so helpful in my daily routine. And today, I just want to share some recipes with you that will aid you in feeling beautiful. Starting from the inside out.
Story time. . . Just last year I was struggling with acne, breakouts and what to

be popping up in my 30's... ew lol. be becoming cystic acne. I had never had so many issues with my skin, (blotches, blemishes, dry spots). It caused me so much embarrassment. I was trying all the creams, all the serums everyone recommended. Yet, nothing seemed to work. The photo below shows my skin March of 2022 and the last picture in September 2022. I will be sharing an update soon of my current progress.
After trying product after product, I decided that I needed to get back to my roots and nature. So I started collecting the best flowers, herbs, veggies and fruit for healthy skin! Not to forget, I also had to find the best water/ hydrogen, to hydrate these skin cells. I used spring, alkaline, and fruit infused water. My favorite was, The Mountain Valley Water.
After a month I started to notice improvements, that I hadn't seen with all the other products. Needless to say, I was hype. I was getting my skin back, my completion was glowing!
Take a look at what I use

1- Great for evening skin tone.
2 teaspoons of honey.
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 turmeric powder
add to bowl, mix, apply layer to face.
Let sit 15- 30 minutes ( depending on skin sensitivity)
wash off with cleanser
2. 4 peeled oranges
1- 2 inches ginger root
2 bunches of collard greens
Thoroughly wash
add to blender, enjoy!
3. 2 tablespoons Candela flowers
2 tablespoons dried rose petals or rose buds
add to 4 cups water, let water
boil on stove
Place face above water at a comfortable temperature, allow to steam.
place towel over head and bowl to keep steam surrounding face.
Can do this 5 to 15 minutes.
4. Drink half your body weight in water
Example: 160 lbs = 80 ounces of water a day.
*Avoid tap or pure water
